KUWAIT: As part of the partnership announced last October between Weyay Bank and Dasman Bilingual School, the Bank launched an innovative initiative aimed at creating a direct impact on the students by developing their financial skills and nurturing their talents under the supervision of Dasman’s art teachers. The initiative consisted of a competition to design the “Jeel Dasman” card, giving students the opportunity to express their individuality and showcase their creativity through the card design.
At the same time, it equipped them with essential knowledge to manage their money responsibly and consciously, preparing them to be better ready for future life requirements. The competition resulted in selecting a design created by a talented Dasman student to be exclusively available for the school’s students for a limited time. Parents can contact Weyay Bank’s Solutions Center to complete the process of opening a Weyay account for the parent and a “Jeel” card for the student within minutes through the Weyay app. Afterwards, the exclusive card will be delivered and can be used at all stores—not only online—inside and outside Kuwait.

The launch of the “Jeel Dasman” card aligns with Weyay Bank’s vision to promote financial literacy among the younger generation through “Jeel”, offering innovative digital tools that empower informed financial decisions from an early age. Designed specifically for the ages 8 to 14, the “Jeel” card fosters independence and financial awareness, complemented by the “Jeel” app, which is a simplified banking experience tailored for young users.
Parents can also monitor and guide their children’s spending through integrated controls in the Weyay app, ensuring a balance between financial freedom and parental oversight. As the first product of its kind in Kuwait, “Jeel” enables children to enjoy seamless digital banking services, hold a bank card in their own name, and use digital wallets such as Apple Pay, instilling a sense of responsibility and financial culture from an early age.
Commenting on this initiative, Alya Al-Sane, Head of Marketing at Weyay Bank, said: “We are proud to introduce the “Jeel Dasman” card as an extension of our partnership with Dasman Bilingual School. This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping the next generation with the financial and digital skills they need for a brighter future. What makes this card truly special is that it represents the students’ identity and creativity.” Through this initiative, Weyay Bank continues to lead in social responsibility, not only as a financial institution but as a partner in education delivering innovative solutions that help build a financially and digitally aware generation.
