The Reds netted deep in injury time via the forward at Avant Training Centre on Friday afternoon, which saw them claim three points in their first Premier League 2 outing of the year.
Liverpool went behind to an Elliot Myles strike after 20 minutes, though restored parity quickly through Amara Nallo from close range to enter the break level.
However, Botan Ameen once again put the hosts in front four minutes after the half-time interval, ahead of a late fightback from Rob Page’s side.
Figueroa stepped off the bench to find the back of the net following a corner ball and even up the match once again with just eight minutes remaining.
It was to get better for the Reds, though, as he would go on to head home his second and Liverpool’s third of the day in the 95th minute, settling the contest in the Reds’ favour in the final seconds.
