KUWAIT: The Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC) announced on Tuesday the launch of the Egaila Beach (Beach 7) development project, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the waterfront and strengthen Kuwait’s tourism and entertainment sector. Speaking at a press conference, TEC Chief Executive Officer Anwar Al-Halila said the project, designed in cooperation with Aayan Real Estate Company, represents a qualitative addition to the company’s initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and reinforcing Kuwait’s position as a leading regional destination for tourism and entertainment.
Al-Halila noted that the project forms part of TEC’s comprehensive strategy to develop coastal destinations and transform them into integrated attractions that cater to the needs and aspirations of various segments of society. He added that the initiative aligns with the company’s future roadmap to develop the waterfront and launch sustainable entertainment projects with tangible economic and social value, through strategic partnerships with the private sector that enhance service quality and support the national economy.
For his part, Aayan Real Estate Company CEO Ibrahim Al-Awadhi said the Egaila Beach construction, equipping and operation project aims to revitalize Kuwaiti beaches and transform them into vibrant destinations combining entertainment, marine activities, and cultural and sporting events within a safe and sustainable environment. Al-Awadhi explained that the project covers an area of approximately 60,000 square meters and has been designed with a modern vision inspired by Kuwait’s authentic coastal character.

The aim, he said, is to restore Egaila Beach to its status as one of Kuwait’s most prominent and attractive waterfronts, while offering a comprehensive entertainment experience suitable for all age groups. He added that the project includes an indoor children’s entertainment hall spanning around 2,600 square meters, as well as an outdoor entertainment area of nearly 7,000 square meters featuring outdoor and water games. Designated areas for beach and seasonal activities will ensure year-round operation and visitor engagement.
The development also features a fully equipped health club covering approximately 4,000 square meters, fitted with the latest equipment and offering panoramic sea views, making it an attractive destination for fitness and wellness enthusiasts. In addition, the project will house 27 restaurant and café units, some with direct sea views and others overlooking a central public square, creating a dynamic and interactive social environment. — KUNA

The waterfront will also feature open spaces, recreational areas and a promenade offering visitors distinctive sea views. Al-Awadhi noted that this section of the project was designed to reflect the identity of the area and symbolize the deep-rooted connection between the people of Kuwait and the sea.
