KUWAIT: The Scientific Center, a key institution under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), on Tuesday launched the “STEAM Bus” educational initiative, offering a mobile and interactive scientific experience for school students across the country. The initiative provides live experiments and simplified presentations that enable students to engage with scientific concepts and connect them to real-world applications in an enjoyable and stimulating way.
Deputy Director General of Visitor Experience at the center, Mohammad Al-Sanousi, told KUNA that the project builds on the earlier “Science Bus” initiative, aiming to disseminate scientific knowledge in an engaging and hands-on manner.
Al-Sanousi explained that the STEAM Bus is designed to break the confines of traditional classrooms, reaching both public and private schools on an organized schedule. The mobile lab features three main stations — optics, energy, and movement — with a specialized team guiding students through interactive activities that foster curiosity and enhance the learning experience.
He added that the launch reflects the center’s commitment to developing innovative educational programs that meet the evolving needs of students, encouraging exploration, learning, and a stronger connection to science. Schools interested in booking a visit from the STEAM Bus are invited to register via the center’s official website: www.tsck.org.kw. — KUNA
