KUWAIT: Dense fog blanketed parts of Kuwait on Monday, enveloping large parts of the capital and partially obscuring skyscrapers, with only the upper sections of high-rise towers visible above the fog. The fog formed due to high humidity levels and lower temperatures and gradually dissipated as wind activity increased and temperatures rose later in the day.
Acting Director of the Meteorology Department Dharar Al-Ali said Kuwait is affected by a high-pressure system accompanied by humid air and light winds, which will contribute to stable weather conditions and fog forming again from Monday night until Tuesday. He noted fog may reduce visibility to less than 1,000 m, particularly in coastal areas, and may completely obscure visibility in other locations, urging motorists, seagoers and residents to exercise caution. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 10 C and 13 C, while maximum temperatures will range between 27 C and 29 C. — KUNA
