KUWAIT: Acting Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah on Tuesday conferred the rank of Major General on Brigadier General Abdulwahab Al-Waheeb during a ceremony at Bayan Palace, following the issuance of an Amiri decree promoting him from Brigadier General to Major General and appointing him Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.
In a press statement, the interior ministry said Sheikh Fahad congratulated Maj Gen Al-Waheeb on earning the trust of the political leadership, wishing him success in his new post and urging him to continue exerting greater efforts to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the security of the country and its citizens.
He emphasized the importance of continuing to develop institutional work across the interior ministry’s sectors, strengthening teamwork and enhancing performance efficiency to meet the demands of the current phase and achieve the highest levels of security readiness. He noted that the coming period requires unified efforts and a strong sense of responsibility to maintain security and stability.
Maj Gen Al-Waheeb expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the wise political leadership and to Sheikh Fahad for the confidence placed in him. He affirmed his determination to carry out his duties with integrity and dedication, and to work within the interior ministry’s framework to fulfill the aspirations of the leadership and enhance security performance in service of the nation and its citizens. — KUNA
