DUBAI: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held a series of meetings with senior UAE leaders on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Sheikh Ahmad was received by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmad conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. He also conveyed their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people, as well as good health and wellbeing for the UAE president.
Sheikh Ahmad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership for their initiative to celebrate Kuwaiti-Emirati relations through the UAE-Kuwait Relations Week. He said this reflects the strong historical and brotherly ties between the two countries and their peoples.
In a separate meeting, Sheikh Ahmad was received by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. During the meeting, His Highness the Prime Minister conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir and Crown Prince, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE.

Sheikh Ahmad praised Dubai’s continued success in organizing the World Governments Summit. He said the event reinforces the UAE’s regional and international standing and commended the high level of organization and broad international participation seen year after year.
On the same day, the Prime Minister also met with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DP World, on the sidelines of the summit.
All the meetings were attended by Undersecretary of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Al-Ghunaim, Consul General of Kuwait in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Khaled Abdulrahim Al-Zuaibi and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Hamad Mubarak bin Sabt. — KUNA
