KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired the 40th meeting of the ministerial committee overseeing the country’s major development projects at Bayan Palace on Thursday. During the session, the Prime Minister praised the continuous attention and support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, towards strategic projects.
He highlighted the recent signing of the engineering, procurement and construction contract for Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port as a key milestone in Kuwait’s comprehensive development agenda. “This reflects the state’s commitment to institutional work, integrated planning, and follow-up, leading to developmental outcomes that strengthen the national economy and serve citizens’ aspirations,” he said.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ongoing coordination between committee members and all state entities to achieve strategic objectives. “Our sincere efforts have already delivered impressive achievements, large-scale productive foundations, and positive transformations, creating an environment that nurtures hope and realizes the highest ambitions,” Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah added.
Committee members expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for attending the contract signing ceremony earlier this week and for his active oversight of project implementation.
The discussion covered updates from government agencies on Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, the electricity sector, renewable energy projects, a low-carbon waste recycling system, housing and urban development, environmental infrastructure for wastewater treatment and desertification control. — KUNA
