KUWAIT: Under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) held a friendly meeting with its staff at the Scientific Center on Wednesday evening. The event reflected His Highness the Prime Minister’s keenness to meet and encourage national cadres, enhance communication with the Foundation’s employees and affiliated centers, and review KFAS’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional performance and foster a culture of innovation.
In a press statement, KFAS said the gathering aligns with its 2025–2029 strategy launched under the slogan “A Solid Legacy… An Innovative Future.” The strategy focuses on developing institutional efficiency, promoting scientific advancement, and translating innovative ideas into practical development projects. During the meeting, KFAS staff presented a visual briefing on the “Initiative Development Models” program, which aims to transform employees’ ideas into implementable projects within the Foundation’s strategic framework.
The presentation showcased several initiatives designed to enhance institutional effectiveness, including the development of research infrastructure and unified electronic systems. It also highlighted innovative projects from affiliated centers, such as the joint scientific space at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, and the chemical reagents project at the Dasman Diabetes Institute.
KFAS expressed appreciation for the continued support and encouragement of His Highness the Prime Minister, commending his role in advancing the Foundation’s mission to promote scientific and technological progress in Kuwait. The Foundation affirmed that its efforts focus on consolidating a culture of institutional innovation, transforming creative ideas into tangible outcomes, and strengthening efficiency, governance, and development.
The gathering concluded with a dinner attended by His Highness the Prime Minister, members of the KFAS Board of Directors, and directors of its affiliated centers, in a cordial atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cooperation and unity across the Foundation’s various sectors. — KUNA
