KUWAIT: The Public Authority for Disability Affairs has announced the launch of five new electronic services through the unified government services application, “Sahel,” in line with directives from Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah, and the state’s push to streamline procedures and enhance digital transformation. In a statement on Sunday, the Authority said the new services include submitting a traffic permit application, printing a disability certificate, printing a caregiver certificate, and submitting requests for reduced working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
These requests will be sent directly to employers via the government messaging system, with the option to print a copy for personal records. The Authority emphasized that the move reflects its commitment to improving services for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, facilitating transactions, saving time and effort, and supporting the state’s broader initiative to expand digital government services. — KUNA
