KUWAIT: The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving qualitative milestones, enhancing the quality of education and training, and expanding its local and international partnerships, expressing pride in its inclusion in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. In a press statement issued on the occasion of its 43rd anniversary, PAAET said it continued throughout 2025 to record significant institutional and academic achievements, reflecting its dedication to developing education and training systems and strengthening partnerships in line with the state’s directives and development vision.
The Authority stressed its ongoing progress in construction, development and institutional excellence, noting that its inclusion in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings represents a new achievement added to its growing record of success. The rankings assess educational institutions based on their societal impact, research and innovation, educational outreach, and overall role in serving the community.
PAAET explained that participation in these rankings enables the Authority to evaluate its position among peer institutions locally, regionally and internationally, while also identifying opportunities for further growth and development. It described the achievement as a precedent that aligns closely with Kuwait Vision 2035, which places strong emphasis on building a knowledge-based economy and advancing the quality of education. Director General of PAAET, Dr Hassan Al-Fajjam, expressed his pleasure at the achievement, extending his appreciation to team leader Dr Ibrahim Al-Adsani, all team members, and the various entities that contributed to this success.
Al-Fajjam affirmed PAAET’s continued pursuit of excellence across all fields, with the aim of equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their future careers. He noted that the achievement, coinciding with the Authority’s 43rd anniversary, reflects its long history of accomplishments and sustained contributions, building on the efforts and dedication of former directors general who played a key role in establishing and developing the Authority.
He stressed PAAET’s commitment to enhancing educational quality and ensuring graduates are well prepared to meet labor market needs, noting that inclusion in the rankings “is not merely recognition of past efforts, but a guiding beacon for future aspirations.” He added that PAAET remains focused on fostering an environment of academic excellence and innovation, while expanding its impact locally and globally through constructive competition with peer institutions.
Highlighting PAAET’s central role in Kuwait’s educational system, Al-Fajjam said that its presence in the Times Higher Education rankings underscores the Authority’s dedication to delivering high-quality applied education and vocational training. He reaffirmed PAAET’s commitment to achieving its strategic objectives and sustainable academic and institutional excellence, strengthening its regional and global standing, and consolidating its national role in preparing qualified professionals who contribute to the realization of Kuwait Vision 2035. — KUNA
