KUWAIT: As part of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its employees, National Bank of Kuwait successfully conducted a fake evacuation drill at Rumaithiya Branch with the aim of assessing and elevating the security and safety teams’ level of readiness, in addition to ensuring the efficiency of dealing with emergency situations. The fake evacuation drill was conducted under the supervision of NBK’s Security Department in cooperation with specialized government entities — General Department of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior and Medical Emergency Department of the Ministry of Health.
Commenting on the success of the drill, Khalid Al-Matrouk, Chief Security Officer and Head of Anti-Financial Crime-Kuwait at National Bank of Kuwait said: “We place the safety and security of our employees and customers as a top priority and a key consideration when designing all business strategies, which is why we always adhere to the highest international standards related to safety and security measures”.
Al-Matrouk also added: “The aim of this fake evacuation drill is to test the readiness and efficiency of the bank’s systems and facilities, in addition to testing the knowledge of employees on how to deal with emergencies and raising their awareness on such vital situations”. Moreover, Al-Matrouk commended the discipline and awareness the employees showed during the fake evacuation drill, noting that they successfully followed the instructions and guidelines and used the emergency exits with efficiency under the supervision of the security team.
Al-Matrouk also extended thanks to the government entities, General Department of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior and Medical Emergency Department of the Ministry of Health, that contributed to the success of this operation, further stressing that this cooperation is highly significant in enhancing the safety and security measures and systems. This experience comes as part of the NBK’s ongoing commitment to raising employee awareness about safety and security measures, stemming from its firm dedication to implementing the highest internationally recognized safety standards across all its branches and facilities.
