KUWAIT: Chief of the General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib and Undersecretary of the National Guard Lieutenant General Hamad Al-Barjas on Wednesday attended the conclusion of the joint exercise “Nation’s Banner.” The exercise brought together the Kuwaiti Army, the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard as part of ongoing efforts to enhance joint operational capabilities and raise the level of readiness among the country’s military and security agencies.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Defense said the drill aimed to reinforce the concept of unified command and control, strengthen coordination and integration among participating units, and ensure efficient operational management and timely decision-making. The scenarios were designed to simulate realistic challenges and field tasks. The exercise featured a series of field and command scenarios, including the use of live ammunition.


These focused on standardizing command and control procedures, accelerating information exchange and improving coordination between the various participating units. According to the statement, the Chief of Staff and the undersecretaries reviewed execution procedures, evaluated the overall performance of the scenarios and assessed the level of coordination and integration achieved, reflecting the ability of the institutions to operate within a unified and comprehensive security framework.
Exercise Director Brigadier General Barak Al-Farhan delivered a detailed briefing on the stages of implementation, objectives of the scenarios, command and control mechanisms employed, key lessons learned and evaluation outcomes, as well as the extent to which the planned goals were achieved. The statement quoted Lt Gen Al-Shuraiaan as affirming that such joint exercises contribute to unifying operational concepts and procedures, demonstrate the level of integration among military and security bodies and further strengthen coordination between participating entities. — KUNA
