KUWAIT: Brigadier Abdullah Al-Ateeqi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) security mobilization exercise Arabian Gulf Security 4, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ongoing joint security cooperation among GCC states.
The MoI said in a statement on Thursday that Brigadier Al-Ateeqi made the remarks during a meeting with participating teams as part of preparations for the exercise, which is scheduled to take place in Qatar in January 2026. The meeting reviewed coordination mechanisms and the integration of efforts between participating teams and relevant sectors to ensure readiness, confirm the alignment of roles, and contribute to the success of Kuwait’s participation, while strengthening the joint Gulf security framework.
Attendees included teams responsible for preparation, planning, evaluation, monitoring, command and control, security and training from the private security sector; information and communications systems from the Central Operations Department; public relations, protocols, and media from the General Department of Security Relations and Media; medical services from the General Administration of Police Force Affairs; and the Supply and Equipment Team. — KUNA
