KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry carried out a high-intensity field exercise on Failaka Island on Wednesday, putting security teams to the test in a remote and challenging environment. The drill, dubbed “Sharp Eye,” brought together the Crime Scene Department, Forensic Department, Police Aviation Wing, Coast Guard and the Directorate of Security Affairs. Officials said the exercise was designed to strengthen coordination among specialized units and ensure seamless response under complex field conditions.

The scenario simulated a homicide inside a residential property. Security teams quickly secured the scene before technical experts conducted detailed inspections, collected physical and biological evidence and preserved it according to the highest scientific and professional standards. “The exercise demonstrates our commitment to maintaining top-level readiness and operational coordination across all security sectors,” an Interior Ministry spokesperson said. — KUNA
