KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Deputy Interior Minister, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib, highlighted the importance of coordination between security sectors to ensure rapid responses to emergency reports and maintain high levels of safety for residents. Al-Wuhaib made the remarks during a field inspection of several Interior Ministry departments on Saturday, a tour aimed at evaluating operational readiness and improving overall performance.
He praised the spirit of teamwork and the professionalism of staff handling emergency calls. “We must continue to raise the efficiency of field and operational performance,” he said, noting the high level of discipline he observed in managing reports and urgent cases.

The tour began at the Traffic Department, where Al-Wuhaib reviewed traffic control systems and measures for managing vehicle flow on major roads. He emphasized that these efforts support smooth traffic movement and enhance road safety. He also visited the General Operations Department’s emergency call centers and the central operations management units.
There, he observed the process of receiving and handling reports, the coordination between relevant agencies, and the readiness of field teams to respond to emergencies. Bringing attention to teamwork across departments, Al-Wuhaib was accompanied by Brigadier Abdullah Al-Otaibi, head of the Traffic and Operations Sector. — KUNA
