KUWAIT: Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Al-Omar praised on Tuesday the efforts of those behind the government e-services platform Sahel, stressing that its success reflects teamwork and effective cooperation among state institutions.
He said the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to providing practical, user-friendly services that simplify citizens’ transactions. Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after honoring the volunteers and officials who contributed to the project, Al-Omar said the recognition reflects the state’s appreciation for all those who played a role in developing Sahel — whether through leadership, technical work, or voluntary contributions.
He expressed pride in the contributions of young volunteers in design and visual identity, noting that their creativity added value to the platform and helped bring its services closer to different segments of society. He also commended the translation teams whose efforts enriched the platform’s content and broadened access to a wider range of beneficiaries, enhancing the application’s inclusivity and impact. Al-Omar affirmed that Sahel will continue to evolve, building on these collaborative efforts to strengthen Kuwait’s digital transformation and improve government service delivery. — KUNA
