KUWAIT: A group of 42 pilots from Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates completed the “Love Flight,” a joint aerial initiative designed to celebrate decades of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The flight began Thursday in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, and concluded at Kuwait International Airport, with pilots from both nations participating.
The initiative is part of the UAE-Kuwait Relations Week, which calls on Emirati institutions and communities to celebrate the historic ties with Kuwait over a week-long event. Captain Adel Yousef Al-Zaabi, Manager of Al-Jazira Aviation Club in Ras Al-Khaimah and head of the UAE delegation, said the flight “reflects the strong historical and fraternal bonds linking the UAE and Kuwait.” He described it as “a message of loyalty, love and peace from the people of the UAE to their brothers in Kuwait.”
Ahmed Al-Shallahi, Chairman of the Kuwait Air Sports Club, said the initiative “is a practical expression of Gulf cooperation in aerial sports” and praised the pilots’ efforts in making the flight a success. “Initiatives like this bring Gulf youth closer together, create opportunities for future collaboration and promote a positive image of regional teamwork,” he added. The Kuwait Air Sports Club and the Jazeera Aviation Club honored the participating pilots on Friday. “The flight represents the highest values of unity, brotherhood and cooperation between our peoples,” said Al-Zaabi. — Agencies
