Liverpool FC Women have completed the signing of Wales international defender Lily Woodham, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old joins the Reds in a permanent move from Seattle Reign in the USA’s National Women’s Soccer League, becoming the fourth new addition to the squad so far this summer.
Woodham spent the majority of the last campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, making 20 appearances, 19 of them starts, in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
“It’s amazing. Obviously I’m a fan of Liverpool, so it’s a dream come true really,” she told Liverpoolfc.com after signing her contract at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.
“I’m really excited to meet everyone. It already feels like a home from home and everyone has been so nice to me and welcomed me.
“I just want to bring everything I can to the team and always give my all in games and training.”
Before heading to the States to represent Reign at the start of 2024, Woodham had built up experience with Bristol City, Reading – where she was appointed captain ahead of 2023-24 – and Charlton Athletic (on loan).
The left-back made her senior debut for Wales in 2020 and has since accrued more than 40 caps, starting all three of her nation’s matches at Women’s Euro 2025 this summer.
Her official squad number will be confirmed in due course.
