In 2020, pop star Lily Allen and “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour got married and purchased a 19th-century brownstone in Brooklyn, New York.
Five years later, the two are going through a public separation and have put their townhouse on the market for just under $8 million. Carl Gambino of the Gambino Group at Compass holds the $7.995 million listing.
The 22-foot-wide home was designed by designer Billy Cotton and architect Ben Bischoff of MADE. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across four floors.
“From its stately facade to its refined interior palette, the home is a layered narrative of traditional English charm, modern Brooklyn sensibilities, and rich Italian influence,” the listing states.

The main level of the house has the living room, an adjacent kitchen, and a dining area. Upstairs, there is a full-floor primary suite with a fireplace and dual walk-in closets. The third level has two guest rooms, a skylit lounge, and a separate home office.
The garden level features a guest suite, a powder room, and a casual living room with a fireplace and direct access to the yard. The basement level of the house includes a gym, laundry room and storage areas.
It is located in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, so it’s close to public transportation and many shops and restaurants.

In 2023, Allen and Harbour gave an inside look at their brownstone to Architectural Digest.
“This neighborhood has historically been Italian American, so the idea of doing something with an Italian flavor wasn’t that far-fetched,” Allen said. “I’ve always been interested in interiors, and I’ve always done my own homes. But this was a big undertaking, and I needed help. Together, Billy and I tried to reach for something weird and wonderful.”
Cotton told Architectural Digest that Allen wanted to make the house as whimsical as possible.
“Lily is the one who really set the tone and drove the program. Every time I tried to make it calmer, she kept pushing and pushing for more,” he said.
Harbor echoed Cotton’s comments on Allen’s design style.
“Lily is someone who lives with color in a deeper way than most. Her taste is bold, silly, fun, eccentric—it’s exciting,” he said.
Allen and Harbour’s home is on the market just days after the pop star released her latest album, “West End Girl.” It is Allen’s first album in seven years and shares intimate details about her relationship with Harbour, and the dissolution of their marriage.
