KUWAIT: The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho to Kuwait, Manthabiseng Phohleli, paid a visit to Kuwait Times and the Kuwait News on Wednesday. During the visit, the ambassador met with Kuwait Times Managing Editor Shakir Reshamwala and editorial staff to discuss her country’s relations with Kuwait. The ambassador reflected on the longstanding friendship between the two countries, saying: “Next year, we will be celebrating 30 years of cooperation with Kuwait.” She added that Lesotho will also mark 60 years of independence. “However, I believe there is still much potential to deepen our partnership beyond the few projects supported by the Kuwait Fund.”

Reflecting on her experience in Kuwait, the ambassador expressed admiration for the warmth and hospitality of the Kuwaiti people, noting that her participation in diwaniyas had given her valuable insight into the country’s community life. During the tour, the ambassador gained insights into the work of the editorial department and the newspaper’s printing facilities. She was also briefed on how the publication is adapting to digital transformation and embracing new technologies in the modern media landscape.
