NEW YORK: The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Brazil Talal Al-Mansour has presented his credentials as the non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Peru to President Dina Boluarte in an official ceremony held at the presidential palace in Lima. In a press statement issued on Friday, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Brazil stated that during the ceremony Ambassador Mansour conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to the Peruvian President Boluarte and her people.
The embassy pointed out that the ceremony took place on Thursday, just two days after the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries. The celebration was sponsored by Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmer Schialer Salcedo, and was attended by several senior Peruvian officials.
Moreover, the Peruvian Ministry printed a commemorative stamp for this occasion.In his speech at the event, the Peruvian Minister Salcedo praised the strong bilateral relations and expressed his gratitude for the State of Kuwait’s significant role in fostering in these relations across a variety of domains and at all levels.
Kuwait’s Ambassador Al-Mansour affirmed, in his speech, that the Kuwaiti-Peruvian relations, since their inception in 1975, have been based on solid foundations of mutual respect, shared interests, and a sincere desire to boost cooperation in various domains.
Al-Mansour noted that these relations have rapidly developed in recent years, particularly following the significant and successful visit of the Peruvian foreign minister to the State of Kuwait last April. He added that the celebration of the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between the two countries demonstrated the officials’ commitment to exploring new avenues of cooperation that will foster the shared interests and aspirations of their respective nations and peoples. — KUNA
