GAZA: Kuwait’s Namaa Charity has implemented a new project to distribute 95 water tankers to displaced people in northern Gaza, in light of the severe shortage of potable water. The charity’s CEO, Saad Al-Otaibi, confirmed in a press statement on Thursday that the organization has distributed 95 tankers, each with a capacity of 4,000 liters, over the past few days. Each tanker serves approximately 250 families, with the possibility of families benefiting more than once as needed.
He added that the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza requires urgent intervention to provide water, considering that “water is not just a need, but a lifeline, and its absence exposes families to serious health risks.” Al-Otaibi explained that the distribution is carried out exclusively through partners accredited by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that every liter of water reaches those who deserve it, reflecting Kuwait’s commitment to high standards of transparency and reliability in relief work.

He noted that this project is part of a series of humanitarian projects implemented by Namaa Charity. Inside Gaza since the beginning of the crisis, he affirmed that “Kuwait has been and will remain at the forefront of countries supporting the Palestinian people, and its humanitarian message is steadfast and unchanging, no matter how dire the circumstances.”
Al-Otaibi pointed out that these quantities of water contributed to alleviating the severe shortage and meeting the needs of thousands of displaced people, especially women and children, at a time when they are suffering from prolonged water outages in their homes and camps. He expressed his gratitude to the generous people of Kuwait for their continued support of Namaa Charity’s work, emphasizing that the association will continue implementing water distribution projects in the coming period and will intensify its efforts as much as possible to ease the suffering of the displaced in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions they are experiencing, so that Kuwait’s name remains present in every place that needs support and relief. — KUNA
