WAJIR: Kuwaiti humanitarian organization Khairat launched a series of relief and development projects in Wajir on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. The initiative included the distribution of 640 food baskets, benefiting more than 3,200 people from low-income families. “These efforts strengthen food security and ease the impact of difficult living conditions,” said Khairat Director Mohamed Al-Kharraz on Saturday.
In addition, the charity organized a medical convoy, providing treatment and medicines to over 600 patients in the most underserved areas. Al-Kharraz said the initiative is part of broader efforts to support healthcare and reach communities that lack basic services. Recipients expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s support. “We highly appreciate the leadership and people of Kuwait,” they said.

He emphasized that Kuwaiti humanitarian work in Africa blends urgent relief with sustainable development while respecting human dignity and building local capacities. Al-Kharraz said Khairat will continue implementing targeted projects to maximize humanitarian and developmental impact. “Our work reflects Kuwait’s civilizational message and its leading role in supporting communities in need,” he added. — KUNA
