Kuwaiti force heads to Qatar to participate in ‘Arabian Gulf Security 4’ drill
RIYADH: The Kuwaiti Navy, in cooperation with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, conducted the joint naval exercise “Gulf Peace 1” at King Abdulaziz Naval Base on Friday as part of efforts to enhance maritime military integration between the two countries. The Kuwaiti Army said the exercise included a series of field scenarios aimed at raising combat readiness, strengthening coordination and unifying tactical concepts in maritime operations.
The drills covered command and control procedures via maritime operations centers, search and rescue missions, naval battle management, countering unmanned boat threats, defense and protection of offshore oil platforms and live-fire exercises involving participating vessels. The exercise falls within the Kuwaiti Navy’s scheduled training plan with sister and friendly naval forces to enhance operational efficiency.

Meanwhile, the interior ministry announced on Friday the departure of a Kuwaiti force to Qatar to participate in the joint Gulf security exercise “Arabian Gulf Security 4”, reflecting the depth of security cooperation among GCC states. In a statement, the ministry said departures took place according to the approved plan, with the participating force deploying with full equipment, supplies and logistical readiness, demonstrating a high level of preparedness and unified Gulf efforts in joint field operations.
The exercise aims to enhance field coordination, raise security readiness, and facilitate the exchange of expertise among Gulf security agencies to address various potential challenges and scenarios collectively. The ministry said the participation underscores Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening joint Gulf security cooperation and safeguarding regional stability. —KUNA
