KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti Journalists Association announced that it will host the meeting of the Federation’s Board of Directors and the Fourth Forum of Journalists in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries from November 16 to 18, under the patronage and in the presence of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
The event, organized in cooperation with the Gulf Journalists Union, will be held under the theme “The Gulf Narrative of Women in Journalism and Media.” In a press statement issued Sunday, the Association said the event is being organized as part of Kuwait’s designation as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media 2025, reflecting the country’s leading role in promoting joint Gulf and Arab media efforts and empowering women in journalism and media.
President of the Kuwaiti Journalists Association Adnan Al-Rashed welcomed the visiting delegations of Federation Board members and participating female journalists, describing Kuwait as their “second home.” He expressed the Kuwaiti media community’s pride in hosting the gathering, which he said embodies the spirit of Gulf solidarity and professional cooperation among journalists across the region.
Al-Rashed added that the Ministry of Information, in coordination with the Association, has completed all necessary preparations to ensure the success of both the board meeting and the forum, and to provide all the resources required for the event to reflect Kuwait’s distinguished media legacy and its pioneering role in the Gulf’s journalistic landscape. — KUNA
