KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality on Thursday affirmed necessity to secure healthy and secure conditions for workers namely in the construction and industrial sectors.Muhannad Al-Saeedi, in charge of construction breaches in Al-Assima (Kuwait Capital), affirmed in a statement to KUNA necessity of taking pre-emptive and protective measures to avert accidents during the summer season.
He also indicated that the precautions involve measures to prevent fires and grant the workers break time.He indicated that inspectors have been examining construction sites to ensure that contractors abide by the municipality regulations. The municipality has warned violating contracting companies to ensure their adherence to safety and security terms, he said, adding that warnings had been addressed to 18 plots in Bneid El-Gar.
He added that seven companies voluntarily removed illegal structures.The inspection teams are active in the country’s governorates to ensure abidance by the municipality rules and systems. — KUNA
