LONDON: Kuwait is giving high priority to accelerating the adoption of modern technologies and expanding international partnerships to enhance the readiness of its communication systems in line with Kuwait Vision 2035 and the goal of building a sustainable and inclusive digital economy, said Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar. In a statement to KUNA on Friday, following his participation in the Bloomberg Technology Summit in London, Minister Al-Omar affirmed that Kuwait’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its presence in global platforms organized by leading international institutions in the fields of digital economy and technology.
He noted that Kuwait’s engagement in the summit’s sessions and panel discussions — covering topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the sustainability of digital infrastructure — provided valuable opportunities to exchange expertise and gain insights that support the development of national policies and initiatives. Al-Omar emphasized that these efforts align with Kuwait’s vision to advance digital transformation and enhance its competitiveness in the global technology landscape.
