Event honors winners of the fifth Kuwait Public Relations and Customer Service Prize
KUWAIT: The Kuwait Public Relations Association on Sunday organized the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Public Relations and Customer Service, highlighting the growing role of AI in communication and institutional decision-making.
The conference was sponsored by Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. It took place at the Kuwait National Library and drew wide participation. The conference focused on the potential of artificial intelligence to enhance institutional communication, strengthen public relations practices and support decision-making processes. It also examined the broader impact of technological development on the sector.
Alongside panel discussions and experience-sharing sessions, the event served as a platform to showcase successful case studies and help professionals develop skills relevant to public relations and customer service. The conference also saw the honoring of winners of the fifth Kuwait Public Relations and Customer Service Prize.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Kuwait Television, Ministry of Information Undersecretary Dr Nasser Muhaisen, representing the minister, said the conference reflects the ministry’s commitment to institutional partnership as part of its strategy.
He emphasized the ministry’s support for initiatives that serve civil society institutions and the private sector, noting the importance of events that address digital transformation. Muhaisen said the conference addressed key topics, including the impact of artificial intelligence on decision-making and institutional communication, as well as the development of public relations. He stressed that “digital transformation is the foundation of administrative work, particularly in public relations in both government and private institutions.”
In his remarks, Association Chairman Jassim Al-Nasrallah said artificial intelligence has become a central factor in the success of public relations and customer service departments. Al-Nasrallah also marked the association’s 20th anniversary, congratulating its founding council, members and all public relations professionals.
Public relations and customer service consultant Khaled Al-Khulaifi, a member of the award’s advisory judging committee, said the competition this year was strong across public and private institutions, as well as among individuals. The award for Best Influential Figure in Community Awareness went to Cardiology Consultant Dr Ibrahim Al-Rashdan. talabat Kuwait won Best Influential Company in Community Awareness.
The Sahel app received the award for Best Service Application, while the Central Bank of Kuwait’s banking awareness program “Let’s Be Aware” won Best Public Relations Campaign. Other awards went to the Kuwait Fire Force for Best Public Relations Department in the Government Sector, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare for Best Customer Service Department in the Government Sector, Zain Kuwait for Best Public Relations Department in the Private Sector and Boubyan Bank for Best Customer Service Department in the Private Sector. The award for Best Figure in Media and Public Relations was presented to Brigadier Nasser Abu Sulaib, Director General of the General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior and the ministry’s official spokesperson. — KUNA
