KUWAIT: The Kuwait Heart Association elected its new Board of Directors by acclamation for the 2025–2027 term during its regular general assembly meeting held on November 30 in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs and members of the general assembly.
The new board is composed as follows:
Talal Jassim Al-Bahar — Chairman
Dr Mohammed Abdulmajeed Zubaid — Vice Chairman
Dr Rashid Abdulaziz Al-Awish — Secretary General
Raed Jawad Bukhamseen — Treasurer
Dr Musa Akbar Jabr — Member
Dr Hala Badr Al-Issa — Member
Dr Abdullah Hussein Ismail — Member
Dr Ahmed Falah Al-Kharaza — Member
Abdulrazzaq Salah Al-Mutawa — Member
On this occasion, Dr Rashid Al-Awish, Secretary General of the Society, affirmed that the Kuwait Heart Association will continue its efforts to enhance awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention, the leading cause of death in Kuwait and globally.
“We are working at full capacity to promote health awareness, broaden the culture of prevention and early detection, and support patients by empowering them to adopt healthier lifestyles—thereby helping reduce future incidence rates and improve overall quality of life,” he said.
The Board of Directors extended its gratitude to all members of the General Assembly for their continued trust and support, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the Society’s national role in serving the community and developing health initiatives in line with the state’s plans to promote healthy living and reduce heart-disease rates.
