CAIRO: Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya chaired on Thursday the Kuwaiti delegation to the 164th ordinary session of the Arab League Council, at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, in Cairo.During the meeting, the ministers discussed all topics listed on the agenda and decisions related to backing and boosting joint Arab action in political, economic and social fields, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The conferees also focused on all themes and issues related to the current developments in the region, topped with disastrous events in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, it stated. They discussed doubling efforts to meet joint visions in the face of challenges surrounding the Arab world, and consequences of the ongoing events on regional and international levels and their impacts on international peace and security, it noted.
In addition, the ways to develop and enhance cooperation among Arab system, friendly countries and international organizations have been addressed, the statement concluded. — KUNA
