KUWAIT: Kuwait’s State Security has arrested a citizen alleged to be affiliated with a banned organization accused of targeting the country’s security and seeking to undermine its stability, the ministry of interior announced.

According to the ministry, the arrest followed extensive surveillance and investigative work. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect had received directives from leaders of a terrorist organization to prepare explosive materials and plan an attack against places of worship. He is also accused of attempting to recruit minors through social media platforms, particularly within online gaming communities, to promote extremist ideology.
The ministry of interior stressed that security agencies remain vigilant and will take firm action against any individual who threatens national security or public safety. It reaffirmed that legal measures will be taken against anyone involved in activities that jeopardize the country’s stability, noting that field operations continue around the clock to safeguard the public and uphold the rule of law.
