KUWAIT: The KUNA Center for Media Development on Sunday inaugurated the 20th edition of its training program for new journalists, which will run until September 25. The program is delivered by a group of specialized lecturers covering diverse areas of journalism. The agenda includes key topics such as news writing and editing, language skills, media technology and photography. Participants will study the fundamentals of news reporting, including types of news, its characteristics, sources, and formats, as well as various writing styles used in professional journalism.

Other sessions will focus on “Linguistic Skills for Media Professionals,” “Artificial Intelligence in Media,” and “Principles of Photography and Videography,” reflecting the Center’s commitment to combining traditional skills with modern developments in the field. Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Media Development is regarded as one of Kuwait’s leading media training institutions. Over nearly three decades, it has organized hundreds of programs across multiple media disciplines, aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of media practitioners and contributing to the growth of journalism in the country. — KUNA
