KUWAIT: The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, part of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), concluded on Monday the Pre-University Qualification Program (PRE), held in cooperation with Kuwait University’s Faculties of Medicine and Engineering from August 9 to 18. The program targeted students from grades 10 to 12 for the 2025/2026 academic year, providing them with practical experience to help select university majors aligned with their interests and ambitions. Activities included lectures, workshops, and field visits, designed to develop both personal and professional skills.
The first edition of the program welcomed participants from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait, fostering interaction and cultural exchange within a rich educational environment. The medicine track covered topics such as health sciences, anatomy, pharmacology, and general surgery, while the engineering track offered insights into electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering, emphasizing analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students actively engaged in the program, describing it as a unique and inspiring experience that allowed them to explore their talents, meet peers from diverse backgrounds, and establish academic and professional networks. The initiative also simulated real university life, helping students broaden their academic perspectives and make informed decisions about their future studies and careers.
The center expressed pride in implementing this initiative, highlighting its role in empowering students and expanding their scientific and professional awareness at an early stage. It also extended its gratitude to Kuwait University for its cooperation, which was instrumental in the program’s success. — KUNA
