Frimpong went on to state that he is ready to play again when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Anfield on Saturday, with the No.30’s return a timely one for Arne Slot given the head coach’s shortage of options on the right flank.
Slot rates Conor Bradley’s chances of playing against Wolves at ’50-50’, while Joe Gomez (injury), Dominik Szoboszlai (suspension) and Mohamed Salah (international duty) are definitely unavailable.
Frimpong said: “I’m just going to be ready for whatever comes. As a footballer you should be ready for any situation so if I can help the team in any way possible that’s what I’m going to do.”
Liverpool head into the weekend unbeaten in six matches and having won their last three in succession.
Frimpong added: “I think it’s really important [to maintain that momentum]. Obviously we play football to win and obviously right now we are in a good mood – three wins in a row and hopefully we can just keep that going.
“But we know how difficult every game is so we’ve got to keep the mindset and just focus on every game.”
