Dominik Szoboszlai’s stunner against Arsenal is the best free-kick Ryan Gravenberch has ever seen.
Szoboszlai’s moment of brilliance from 32 yards out secured a 1-0 victory for Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
The 83rd-minute decider from the Hungarian will live long in the memory of Gravenberch.
The No.38 told Liverpoolfc.com post-match: “I think I never saw a free-kick this beautiful in life. It was really amazing. I think it was minute 83, if you score like this and saw the fans, the atmosphere was really crazy.
“I’m really happy with the three points. Arsenal have a really good team, really good players. It was a tough game but I’m happy that we won in the end.”

A relatively even affair was unlocked and settled by Szoboszlai’s precision at the Kop end.
The Reds had to withstand lengthy spells of pressure from the Gunners in the first half but gained more of a hold on proceedings following some half-time adjustments.
“In the first half it was really difficult to press them,” Gravenberch said. “They always had a solution. [Declan] Rice and [Martin] Zubimendi dropped into the midfield. It was really difficult.
“But in the second half we changed the way that we pressed and it was better. In the second half we changed it and we did man-for-man in the midfield and Dom went to the left full-back and [Ibrahima] Konate to the left-winger.
“I think it was better because in the first half we couldn’t get a grip on it.”

Arne Slot’s men are the only side in the Premier League to enter the September international break with a flawless record.
That is hugely satisfying for Gravenberch and his teammates, particularly given their challenging start to the 2025-26 season.
The Dutchman finished: “Bournemouth are a really good team and then Newcastle away and then Arsenal at home – I think it’s one of the three toughest teams to face. We are really happy that we have nine points.”
