KUWAIT: Back for the second year, Little Heroes – powered by IKEA and organized by Suffix – once again transformed a normal weekend into fun, play and meaningful moments with family and friends. With over 3,000 children and their families participating, the event once again inspired healthier lifestyle, and encouraged the values of teamwork, resilience and respect through the power of sports and play.
Inspired by the Olympics, and the belief that sports and active lifestyle are vital to children’s development, Little Heroes invites little people to explore, challenge themselves and enjoy healthy competition and the simple joy of being active.
This year’s event featured a vibrant mix of team sports, games, creative zones and live entertainment, designed to spark curiosity and confidence, turning every moment into a fun discovery and lasting memories. “Following a healthier lifestyle isn’t complicated, it starts with small steps. We want to encourage children and their families to make sports part of their daily life. With a little play at home, or a short walk around the neighborhood, or an evening playing by the beach, we cannot only have a lot of fun but also build routines that shape our lifestyle as we move into adulthood,” said Elisa Albendea, IKEA Brand and CMI Director.
“For us at IKEA, Little Heroes is more than an event, it is another way of saying we are by your side for a better life; encouraging families to unplug, reconnect with each other and celebrate what truly matters. We are thankful to Suffix. They are the best partner, as we share similar values and purpose. They have done an amazing job on bringing this vision to life for the second year together and we look forward for many more years of collaboration with them,” stressed Albendea.
This year, Little Heroes introduced more inclusive activities, creating spaces where every child can participate, thrive, and shine while sharing joyful experiences in a welcoming, playful environment. “Watching children embrace teamwork, sportsmanship, and joy is incredibly powerful. Together with IKEA and our sponsors, we have created a platform that doesn’t just entertain. It educates, empowers and inspires our next generation,” said Ahmed Al-Majed, COO of Suffix.
“Through every race, cheer and high-five, Little Heroes continues to build something bigger: a community based on support, inclusion and active living in Kuwait. As the event grows, so does its mission to nurture healthier habits, build stronger bonds and spark a lifelong love for sports,” explained Al-Majed. On behalf of both IKEA and Suffix, to every family who joined us: thank you! Your energy and fun spirit made this weekend unforgettable. We are already looking forward to next year’s adventure with our Little Heroes!
