KUWAIT: Kuwait Fire Force and Kuwait National Guard took part in the annual meeting of the NATO Regional Center and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, held this week in Brussels. The gathering brought together representatives from member and partner countries to review the center’s work and discuss plans for the 2026-2027 season.
Representing the Kuwait Fire Force, liaison officers Colonel Mohammad Abdulmohsen Abbas and Captain Salem Abdulkhaleq Abdulmajid highlighted the importance of specialized training programs, particularly in artificial intelligence applications and risk management. “These technologies play a central role in predicting incidents, analyzing and monitoring data and supporting decision-making,” a Kuwait Fire Force statement said. The Fire Force emphasized the need to develop smart systems that improve operational efficiency and speed of response to emergencies.
The meeting also featured Kuwait National Guard, represented by Colonel Ismail Khalil. Participants reviewed programs aimed at enhancing coordination and cooperation among participating bodies in line with international standards, focusing on capacity building and institutional readiness.
