KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Minister of Information, Culture, and State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, opened the “Kuwait Brings Us Together” festival on Thursday, underscoring the country’s commitment to promoting Arab cultural and media ties. The event, organized by the Ministry of Information in partnership with Kuwait Airways, is part of a national effort to support cultural initiatives and community engagement. It runs until November 22 at Shaheed Park and features participation from Gulf and Arab Embassies.
During the festival, each participating embassy hosts a booth displaying historical and cultural artifacts to emphasize the deep historical ties between Arab nations and promote a shared Arab identity.

Al-Mutairi told reporters the festival “reflects Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing Arab cultural and media communication and establishing its position as an active cultural and media hub.” He added that the festival, held alongside Kuwait’s designation as the Arab Capital of Culture and Media 2025, “highlights the rich Arab cultural diversity and the unity of Arab cultural identity, showing the role of culture and media in bringing people closer together.”
The minister said the event “demonstrates Kuwait’s dedication to strengthening its cultural and media relations with Arab countries and building bridges of dialogue between Arab cultures.” He also noted that “the festival affirms Kuwait’s leading role in supporting joint initiatives that highlight Arab cultural heritage and strengthen the unified Arab presence in the cultural and media arena.” Daily folkloric performances are held on the Shaheed Park stage from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, celebrating Arab cultural heritage and artistic diversity. — KUNA
