KUWAIT: The Ministry of Education on Tuesday unveiled its new interactive learning platform “With Salem and Abeer,” designed to strengthen students’ academic skills and support them in exam preparation through modern digital tools. Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei said the launch marks an important step in the Ministry’s digital transformation strategy, which aims to enhance educational systems and keep pace with technological advancements. He noted that the smart platform will offer students a flexible and secure learning environment, enabling access to educational materials anytime and anywhere, particularly during exam seasons.
Mariam Al-Farsi, supervisor of the application, said the platform features simplified educational content tailored to various grade levels, in addition to practice exam models and self-assessment tools. These resources, she added, help students review their lessons more effectively and improve overall performance. Al-Farsi affirmed that the app relies on interactive digital learning methods proven internationally to improve comprehension and narrow learning gaps among students. She stressed that the initiative represents a major advancement in Kuwait’s education sector, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to integrating modern technology in classrooms and elevating academic outcomes to meet future requirements.

Curriculum innovation expo
In another development, Minister of Education on Tuesday inaugurated the “Expo: A Curriculum with a Future Vision” at Uqba Bin Nafeh Intermediate School for Boys in the Farwaniya Educational District, showcasing students’ innovation under the Ministry’s updated curriculum. During the event, Al-Tabtabaei toured various displays and listened to detailed presentations from students representing 23 intermediate schools in the district. The students showcased practical projects in “Interior Design” and “Electronics,” reflecting the application of new curriculum components introduced by the Ministry of Education.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad praised the Minister’s patronage of the event, stressing to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that such initiatives highlight young talents and encourage creativity in areas including engineering drawing, electrical installations and lighting techniques. Al-Hamad also commended the teams behind the expo, noting that the Ministry’s forward-looking vision seeks to prepare a generation that is scientifically capable, morally grounded and equipped to contribute to the nation’s sustainable development goals. The Ministry of Education has recently updated curricula from kindergarten to ninth grade for the 2025-2026 academic year, in alignment with global scientific and educational advancements. — KUNA
