KUWAIT: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and the Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The meeting marked the occasion of Kuwait receiving a certificate from the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), recognizing the country’s achievements in establishing an effective aviation security oversight system and its continued commitment to implementing ICAO’s recommended standards and practices.
During the visit, the officials also presented His Highness with a commemorative shield to mark the inauguration of the third runway and the new control tower at Kuwait International Airport. His Highness congratulated them on this accomplishment, wishing them continued success and the continued elevation of Kuwait’s standing at international forums under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. — KUNA
