KUWAIT: Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Cabinet’s Legal Affairs Committee, Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait, said on Monday that the committee discussed several draft decree-laws submitted by government agencies, reviewing them in preparation for providing appropriate recommendations to the Cabinet. Speaking to KUNA after chairing the committee’s meeting at Seif Palace, Al-Sumait noted that the session also examined legal requests submitted by some government agencies.


He added that the committee reviewed draft international agreements and memoranda of understanding between Kuwait and several sisterly and friendly countries, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance joint cooperation across various fields, ahead of submitting recommendations to the Cabinet.
The committee includes Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr Mohammad Al-Wasmi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Nader Al-Jallal and Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel. — KUNA
