KUWAIT: Burgan Bank hosted a graduation ceremony for 29 Ministry of Interior (MoI) employees to celebrate their completion of the three-month specialized training program on digital skills, tailored and delivered by Burgan Bank. The ceremony was held at the bank’s head office in the presence of Burgan Bank management and Ministry of Interior’s officials.
The program comes as part of Burgan Bank’s unwavering efforts to support digital transformation and develop human capital by equipping national calibers with the digital skills essential for advancing in today’s digitally driven markets. Furthermore, it underscores the bank’s commitment to sustainable development and its social responsibility toward the vital government sectors in line with its ongoing support for Kuwait Vision 2035.
On this occasion, Fadel Abdulla, Chief Executive Officer – Kuwait at Burgan Bank, stated: “The bank is proud to see the graduation of this cohort of Ministry of Interior’s employees following an intensive training program. The program outcome, which shows in the graduates’ capstone projects, reflects a high level of commitment and engagement.” He explained that the program exemplifies an effective model of collaboration between the public and private sectors in developing the digital skills of national talent, benefiting society and contributing to enhanced transaction security and information protection.

Transferring Burgan Bank’s expertise in digital transformation and cybersecurity to MoI employees contributes to supporting national efforts aimed at protecting data and strengthening the fight against financial crimes, including fraud,” Abdulla added.

The ceremony featured the program’s capstone projects, which exhibited graduates’ ability to translate learning input into practical applications that tackle current challenges and contribute to supporting efforts for curbing financial crime. The projects demonstrated the program’s impact on fostering innovation and analytical thinking.
The training program covered several cornerstone topics including IT skills, analytical thinking, digital solutions development and best practices for designing secure applications. The program was delivered in an engaging, hands-on style that caters to participants’ varying learning needs and preferences and enhances the program’s practical outcome.
This program aligns with the Central Bank of Kuwait’s (CBK) “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) banking awareness campaign, which aims to raise financial and banking awareness, promote cybersecurity and fraud prevention concepts and establish a culture of safe use of digital services, thereby contributing to the protection of individuals and institutions.
