KUWAIT: State Minister for Municipal Affairs and State Minister for Housing Abdullatif Al-Meshari opened the “Bayt Al-Omr 2026” exhibition on Thursday, highlighting advanced solutions offered to citizens embarking on the journey of building their homes. The exhibition is being held at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref and brings together government entities and private sector companies working in housing, construction and urban development.
In a statement, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare said Al-Meshari’s participation reflects the government’s interest in supporting specialized housing exhibitions and professionals in construction and urban development. “These events serve as key platforms to explore modern technologies that help improve housing quality and advance housing projects in line with citizens’ expectations,” the authority said.
The statement noted that the exhibition features advanced solutions in sustainable energy, water conservation and water recycling. These solutions are being showcased through the authority’s current projects as well as by participating companies.
It added that the displays align with the state’s broader direction toward environmental sustainability and efficient use of resources.
According to the authority, Al-Meshari praised these solutions for their positive impact on reducing consumption and enhancing infrastructure efficiency in housing cities. The authority said it is using the exhibition, which runs until January 13, to present housing projects currently under implementation, alongside efforts to improve services provided to citizens.
Representatives are also responding directly to visitors’ questions, with the aim of strengthening communication and explaining the different stages of housing projects. The statement added that the authority’s participation reflects its commitment to engaging with relevant bodies and construction and development companies, and to review best practices that contribute to improving the housing welfare system and raising project efficiency. — KUNA
