KUWAIT: As part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Arab Open University – Kuwait and the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST), a university delegation took part in an international scientific conference titled “Bridging Disciplines: Qualitative Research Across Fields”.
The event brought together a distinguished group of researchers and experts from leading academic institutions around the world. The AOU delegation included Dr Naser Zaeri, Dr Batal Al-Mutairi and Mohammed Al-Ajmi. The members of the delegation presented three research papers addressing a range of academic and research topics aligned with the themes of the conference.
Their contributions reflected the university’s commitment to supporting high-quality research and strengthening international collaboration. During the visit, the delegation held a series of high-level meetings with senior officials at MCAST aimed at implementing the Memorandum of Understanding and translating it into joint initiatives and projects with academic and research impact. Discussions covered the implementation of joint academic programs, the development of collaborative research projects, and potential avenues for cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Among those attending the meetings were Stephen Vella, the Principal and CEO of MCAST; Ing Louis Aquilina, Director – ERASMUS Projects and Mobility; Dr Lorna Marie Bonnici West, Director for Research and Innovation; and Maxine Micallef, International Business Development Manager. The officials praised the role of the Arab Open University and its growing partnership with the Malta institution, emphasizing the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance the scientific presence of both organizations.
