KUWAIT: The International Summit on Artificial Intelligence Horizons 2025, organized by the Arab Open University (AOU) in Kuwait under the theme “Shaping the Future of Sustainability, Education and Smart Innovations,” will kick off on Wednesday and run for two days. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait.
In a press statement issued Monday, the university said the summit aligns with the country’s leadership directives to advance education and scientific research and enhance Kuwait’s role as a regional hub for innovation. It also supports Kuwait Vision 2035, which aims to build a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and digital transformation.
The AOU noted that the summit seeks to empower youth in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship, strengthen academic and technological partnerships, and promote sustainability and smart education initiatives. A student hackathon will also be held, featuring innovative artificial intelligence projects designed to contribute to sustainable development and accelerate national digital transformation efforts. — KUNA
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Nader Al-Jalal will attend the opening ceremony on behalf of His Highness the Prime Minister, along with Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Minister of State for Communications Omar Al-Omar.
The summit program includes interactive workshops led by international experts and industry leaders, alongside an exhibition highlighting innovative student projects from across the region. It will also feature panel discussions bringing together leading AI pioneers, policymakers, and researchers to exchange insights on shaping the future of technology and sustainability. – KUNA
