KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah paid a visit on Monday to the headquarters of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) in Sharq on the occasion of the foundation’s 50th anniversary. HH the Amir was warmly received upon arrival by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KFAS Dr Amina Rajab Farhan and members of the foundation’s board of directors.
During the visit, HH the Amir chaired a meeting of the KFAS board of directors. He also toured the foundation, where he was briefed on its history and key achievements. HH the Amir delivered his gracious directives to the foundation’s staff, affirming his full support and encouragement, praising the effective role played by those overseeing the foundation and wishing them continued success in efforts that contribute to elevating the status of the nation. On Tuesday, HH the Amir will patronize and attend the national operetta Deerat Al-Khair at Bayan Palace Theatre. — KUNA
