KUWAIT: The Ministry of Education and Kuwait University marked Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day this week with public celebrations bringing together students, educators and officials.
As part of the Ministry of Education’s celebrations on Thursday, the ministry’s main hall was decorated in national colors. The event hosted students from various schools, who performed a series of musical and cultural shows. These included patriotic songs, traditional sword dances and sea-inspired folk performances, reflecting Kuwait’s history and cultural roots. An orchestra from Al-Assima Educational Zone also took part, presenting musical pieces alongside rhythmic performances.
Kuwait University held its annual national celebration on Wednesday at Sabah Al-Salem University City. University President Dr Dina Al-Mailem congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion.
She said the celebration honors the sacrifices made by earlier generations in building the country and serves as a reminder of shared responsibility toward Kuwait’s future.
The university celebration ran over two days and included participation from colleges, research centers and institutions from both the public and private sectors. Activities included a student march, poetry performances, a vintage car exhibition and a cultural and heritage fair. — KUNA
