Boeing meeting explores opportunities in aircraft manufacturing and imports, training nationals
KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met on Thursday with Dr Brendan Nelson, Senior Vice President of the Boeing Company and President of Boeing Global, and Fahad Al-Mheiri, the company’s Vice President for Middle East and North Africa, at Bayan Palace.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation between Kuwait and Boeing, exploring opportunities in aircraft manufacturing and imports, space research and training national talent to strengthen national capabilities. Sheikh Khalid Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Acting Chief of the Prime Minister’s Diwan, and Sheikh Saoud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, also attended the discussion.

On the same day, the Prime Minister chaired the 45th meeting of the ministerial committee overseeing Kuwait’s major development projects. Officials reviewed progress on key initiatives, including Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port, the electricity and renewable energy sectors, low-carbon waste recycling systems, housing and environmental infrastructure, wastewater treatment facilities and the development of free and economic zones.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah highlighted the leadership’s focus on closely monitoring these projects and accelerating their implementation. He noted that continued collaboration with governments of allied countries demonstrates Kuwait’s strong commitment to strategic development and strengthens economic ties.
The session included ministers responsible for municipal affairs, housing, electricity, finance and economic affairs, alongside senior officials from the Central Agency for Public Tenders and the Fatwa and Legislation Department. — KUNA
