KUWAIT: Students from the United Nations’ Young Ambassador Program (4th season) visited the offices of Kuwait Times and Kuwait News on Tuesday for a behind-the-scenes look at newsroom operations and the work of journalists.
The students expressed strong curiosity about how news is gathered, edited and produced, as well as about the operation of the printing press. They met with members of the editorial team, who addressed their questions on the news-making process, from reporting in the field to delivering stories to readers’ doorsteps.
The visit also highlighted how the newspaper operates in the digital age, with discussions on advertising, visual storytelling and online platforms. A tour of the archives allowed students to explore the history of Kuwait Times and learn how news was traditionally written, documented and preserved.
The experience concluded in the studio, where students were filmed debating public transportation, offering them a hands-on introduction to broadcast journalism and on-camera discussion.
